Pensioners verified by the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) have expressed serious concerns over the delay in getting their pension benefits.
some of the pensioners who were verified in the last quarter of 2017 are yet to collect a single penny at such, some of them have died due to their inability to foot their medical bills.
The pensioners have called on PTAD to urgently look at their plight and pay them as soon as possible in line with what they were promised during the verification exercise.
The PTAD has however assured the pensioners that it is working assidously to ensure they receive their benefits.
According to the PTAD, the computation of the pension benefits of PTAD verified pensioners is ongoing and payments are made upon completion.
To date, over 19,500 verified pensioners from the North West, South East, North East, and South South have been reinstated and paid their arrears.
Some of these pensioners were wrongly removed from the payroll prior to the establishment of PTAD.
