Six Insurance companies were among 11 companies suspended by the Nigerian Stock Exchange for failing to file their accounts. Trading in their shares has been suspended until the relevant accounts are received in satisfactory manner. The six Insurance companies are GoldLink Insurance, Guinea Insurance, Lasaco Assurance plc, Niger Insurance, Standard Alliance Insurance and Universal Insurance. These suspended companies have been struggling over the years especially GoldLink Insurance plc whose board was sent packing during the tenure of Mr Fola Daniel as Commissioner for Insurance.
