INSURERS PAID OVER N168.44 MILLION CLAIMS ON FLOOD IN 2015.

Insurance Companies paid over N168.44 million Claims on flood mishaps in 2015.

The chairman of the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) Mr. Eddie Efekoha told Insurance correspondents in Lagos recently.

He said that victims of the recent flood mishap in Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi and some parts of Banana Island have started filing claims with their Insurers.

Flood is usually an extension of fire cover, most insurance companies do offer the cover for free especially in areas not prone to flood.
