The first female Chief Executive Officer of Lioyd’s of London. Ms Inga Beale will end her five year reign at the specialty (re) Insurance. Ms Beale’s exact date of departure next year will be confirmed in due course. The first female CEO joined Lloyd’s in January 2014 and forged change both culturally and operationally. Earlier this year, She mandated that 80% of Lloyd’s trading be accomplished electronically by the end of 2019 pushing the market forward technologically. A move she said was not a (walk in the Park) when she spoke at the 45th African Insurance organization conference & General Assembly at the Labadi Beach Resort Accra Ghana.
In her five years at Lloyd’s, Inga has set in motion a series of changes aimed at modernizing the market and making it more efficient and inclusive. Speaking to collaborate her exit next year, Mr Bruce Carnegie – Brown, chairman at Lloyd’s said that her boldness and persistence have generated the momentum required to bring about real change in 2015 Ms. Beale was named the world’s most inspiring LGBT business executive for 2015 by non-profit business network Outstanding, reflecting her dedication to diversify and inclusion.
